• GDH-FAD Strip: This technology in Dr Trust (USA) Glucometer avoids interference from blood oxygen variations. It also prevents galactose and maltose interference in blood samples. The sample from arteries, veins, and capillaries can be used to apply the GDH-FAD strip

• Ketone Alert:  Dr Trust (USA) Glucometer gives an early warning if your ketones are rising or are out of balance in your blood. It will reduce the incidence of diabetic ketoacidosis or DKA by knowing that your ketones level reaches over 15 mol/L

• Unique Features: Dr Trust (USA) Glucometer machine has a unique feature of the smiley indicator. The result is displayed along with face symbols within 5 seconds. A happy smiley indicates good results and a sad smiley indicates unsatisfactory results

• 4 Modes: Dr Trust (USA) Glucometer monitor Comes with 3 modes General, AC, and PC modes. The general mode can be used to take blood glucose measurements at any point of the day. AC mode is used to take the measurements in the early morning on an empty stomach. If you want to take the readings after taking your meals, you can switch to PC mode of the device. While QC (quality control) testing can be performed anytime to check the accuracy and working of the glucometer by using a quality control solution. However, Quality Control solution is not included in the box.

• Units Measurement & Large LCD: In Glucometer monitor, the readings are expressed in two units viz Mg/dL or mmol/L. IIts LCD displays result in white digits which are bright and easy to read at night. It also illuminates the spot where to insert the strip. 

• Fully Automatic & Reminder Alarm Function: Auto electrode insertion detection, sample loading detection, reaction time count-down, switch-off after 3 minutes without action, and Temperature Warning. And also it allows the user to set an alarm as a reminder for taking the measurements.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Using Glucometer

Step 1. Insert the test strip into the meter to turn it on.

Step 2. Obtain a blood drop from a fingertip and apply on the strip.

Step 3. Results will appear automatically. Remove and dispose of the test strips.

Using a Lancing Device

Step1. Remove cap, insert a lancet, twist-off cover, and replace the cap.

Step 2. Press the priming button then press the yellow release button.

Step 3. Once the blood sample is obtained, remove the cap and eject the used lancet.

Cautions

• Check and prepare you kit including meter, test strip, lancing device etc.
• Wash and dry your hands before you begin the testing.
• Gear up the lancing device with a new lancet.
• Warm up your hands by rubbing or washing with warm water for a better blood flow.
• Prick your finger with the lancing device at the sides of the finger as there are less nerve ending here than at the tips.
• Keep switching your finger to prevent thickening of the skin.
• Avoid using your little finger due to the skin being thin.
• Be careful not to smear the drop.
• Gently touch the blood drop with the test strip in the meter, wait a few seconds for result to appear.
• Record the result and dispose of the test strip into a sharps bin.

• Only a small amount of blood (0.5 µl) is needed for checking the blood sugar level.
• Use the test strips of the Dr Trust. The strips of other brands not always be the compatible with the meter.

The GDH-FAD strip allows you to eject the blood out of sites other than the fingertip. These sites include the forearm, upper arm, thigh, and calf. This reduces pain due to repetitive pricking.

The result is displayed along with face symbols within 5 seconds. A happy smiley indicates positive results and a sad smiley indicates unsatisfactory results.

The meter stores the 1000 most recent blood glucose test results along with respective dates and times in its memory.
